The process

Flower printing and painting is a deeply cathartic experience for me, from start to finish. It all begins in the great outdoors.

I explore nature in all weather, though I tend to choose the most beautiful days of the season, especially when I feel the need to fully immerse myself—whether in solitude or with family. Being present in the moment allows me to see what nature offers. I search for seasonal plants, selecting those that will provide interesting prints, and carefully collect a few samples to take back to my kitchen.

Once home, I arrange the plants to create the composition I envision, then prepare them for boiling. After boiling and drying, I get to unwrap the prints—an exciting moment when the hidden beauty of each print is revealed.

I fall in love with every individual piece. I spend hours painting, revisiting the fine details, enhancing hues, or adding strokes of color with my brushes and pencils.

The painting process is where my full attention and dedication come into play. It’s a spiritual journey, guiding me through the delicate lines and textures as I bring each piece to life, creating a story through my art.
